Grammy's is a long time coming. When I went through my single parenting time I feared dying and leaving my children alone with someone else to raise them. My prayer to dance at their weddings was answered by God. Now, was my turn to give back to God what he had given me (I had made a deal with him). This took years of prayer, asking God what I was to do, followed by years of online schooling, an awesome experience that stretched me plenty and showed me just how much God loved me. He guided me through it all as he had done before.
What important thing had God given me during these years ? His non-condemning , unconditional and gracious love. When the cupboard was bare, he provided. When the car was done for, he provided. When I needed someone to babysit so I could go to work, he provided. Clothes, he provided. Christmas, he provided. Eleven years we lived a financial life on the edge but he always saw us through and he put in some real fun times for us on top of it all! I know it was good for the children because at about 12 years of age my daughter responded to a remark she overheard me say to a friend "Mom, when we we poor?" And although I thought we were , we were never poor because of God's provision.
Why Grammy's Coffee Shop? One thing God provided for us was a second husband. It took a lot of looking and like so often just when you give up you meet that some one special. Well after the 11 years single, we were married off and living in Florida because that's were we had to move to be with our new family. This was a great gift from God. Lots of blending that didn't go so good at times, the Brady Bunch we were not (although we have been for a long time now). My husband and I meet on a cruise with children in tow. No, we were not on the Love Boat; we were on the Carnival version Love Boat, having dinner at the same table. Now, we should have known right then we were in for some rough seas! LOL. I'm telling you this story because we were both travelers at heart and that was God's gift to us. Everywhere we went we wanted to move there. After 18 years of vacations and mission trips and me finishing up collage we find ourselves in Israel. Grammy's started in a coffee shop in Tiberius on the Sea of Galilee. Inspired by the Holy Spirit I told my husband "this is what we will do in our retirement".
Two plus years and a pandemic later the story has changed slightly because God has shown me that through coaching I can reach many children for him as " Grammy". At a pivotal time of their lives young people leave home, break from their parents, and become lost in the world. God is foreign and mom and dad will not be happy with us if they know what we've been up to . Grammy's hopes to offer an alternative support system for these young men and women. Pointing out God's provision and desire to fulfill their dreams along with a gentleness Grammy's have for their grandchildren they will find a light of hope. It's that simple. Reach out, seek and search, find and knock together with God the world is yours.
My Mission – To use my love for God and God's love for all to facilitate awareness, growth and success in the lives of my clients, and grandchildren everywhere no matter what their age.

The picture below is Leila my step grandchild; she has no real grandmother who will she turn to during the formidable teen times. I hope it is me! There are so many Leila's in this world, may God bless them!
